Enterprise Gateway Licensing

The Enterprise Gateway is a component of the Enterprise Objects portion of the Enterprise Integration Suite and will not function if it is not licensed. See Enterprise Objects Licensing for more information.

To license the Enterprise Gateway, use the License Manager Utility to enter named licenses per server into the ARS. Licensing is accomplished in a manner parallel to the way in which web servers are licensed, with one Enterprise Gateway per entry in the ARS, referenced by IP Address.

License Enforcement

To enforce the licensing, the Enterprise Gateway will check the ARS to see if there is a valid license for use of the Enterprise Gateway. If it is not licensed, the service will shut down and log a shutdown reason into the error log file.

The ARS/License file enforces the user limit for the Enterprise Gateway.
